Annie’s Craft Festival
New this is year is the Annie’s Craft Festival from the Annie’s Publishers. I project this to be a big festival with strong interests from crafting enthusiasts like you and I.
Mark your calendar for October 30th – November 1st, 2015. Taking place at the Grand Wayne Convention Center in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
The craft conference is for beaders, cake decorators, crocheters, crochet stitchers, embroiders, floral arrangers, knitters, painters, paper and card makers, quilters and sewers. The show is intertwined with a conference program where you can sign up and learn from crafting celebs, knowledgeable instructors and more.
For crocheters, you can learn from designers, celebs and really informative instructors that include:
- Karen Whooley
- Melissa Leapman
- Charles Voth
- Shannon Mullett-Bowlsby
- Jenny King
- Susan Lowman
- Darla J. Fanton
- Jackie Daugherty
- Eddie Eckman
- Ellen Gormley
- Lily Chin
- Kara Gott Warner
Most of these designers/instructors I have met in person and it’s a great line up.
Class Discounts – Update from Annie’s Craft Festival
Beginning today through October 21st, people can get 50% off classes by using the code CLASS50. I cannot believe it’s just a little over 3 weeks now until the show… time is flying! As you know, there is some awesome talent and fun events lined up for this event, and for those crocheters who like to delve into other crafts, this will be quite the fun and diverse “playground.”
No Crochet Crowd?
We were asked to exhibit at the show in the marketplace. With Creativ Festival a couple weeks before this show and knowing how much work it takes to create an exhibit, we declined.
We have a history of going over the top with our exhibit in being explosive with crochet. We require a 30 foot moving truck to move our exhibit and we didn’t have money in the budget to include this as part of our plans for this year.
The Crochet Crowd doesn’t really get involved in the show circuit of jumping from show to show as it’s really expensive to travel and move around our exhibit.
