    Dear Mickey,
I happened upon a project that you were teaching using the Bernat Blanket yarn and I was hooked. I taught myself just a basic chain eons ago and was blessed to be working with a crochet instructor when I worked for a craft store. She was very patient, the exact qualities I saw in your videos, and she taught me how to make a basic granny square. I ended up not working with yarn again until my daughter blessed us with our first grandchild. We soon discovered that this ball of joy just feel in love with her crocheted blankets she received. I was determined to learn how to make one myself even though I had no clue on how to read a pattern. My first blanket was ok but my second and third she loves. I had recently been unable to work because I have severe peripheral neuropathy and finding projects were difficult. Just then I saw the advertisement on Facebook and watched the teaser about making an afghan week to week. My daughter went out and bought me the yarn and noticed how excited I was just looking forward to the next week and that I was understanding how to read a pattern. When it was the final week my daughter researched your name, along with the Crochet Crowd, because she knew I was hooked. I have been so thrilled watching your videos along with new patterns that are posted in the Crochet Crowd group. I just wanted you to know that before I ever started this journey I was in a very low place in my life and now through you and the wonderful team that surrounds you I am finding a way to provide joy where I thought I was a burden. Keep up the wonderful job you and Dan, plus team, because without this back into my life I am not sure where I would be. <3 <3. Erin Hayduke
