Blooming Crochet Hats by Shawna-Lee Graham
Introducing a brand new crochet pattern book called Blooming Crochet Hats by Shauna-Lee Graham.
I’ve had the pleasure of meeting this author at Spinrite Factory Outlet in August 2013. She was telling me about her new book and worked hard all winter to get it through the publishing process. In May 2014, she approached me all excited as her book was published and now available. I congratulated her on her success and it’s so nice to have met a designer that cares so much about crochet.
This book is targeting babies to children. There are full projects inside this book plus accessory add ons that take a regular project and push it to a really cute level.
I really liked how the publisher didn’t force the patterns to be cramped onto the pages with small writing. The patterns are easy to follow. They have also included stitches and technique diagrams to ensure that all of the stitches can be followed within the book.
The photography of the finished projects are superb to give you a teaser to what you can expect from the patterns within. One of my favourite patterns inside is the Optional Brim section. To turn hats into a newsboy sort of deal. Stylish, even for girls.
Shauna-Lee Graham, author, is relatively local to me if you say over 2 hours from me is local. She is really personable and is a brand new author. I love her enthusiasm and her commitment to crochet.
Shauna-Lee has provided me 5 autographed copies of her new book. I will be having a giveaway coming up in the future. It’s a great way to own a brand new book of an up & coming designer that I think will go far. Even better when the book is autographed.
