I’m Mikey, Creativ Festival’s Social Media Director. I’m here to help you get extra promotions within the Creativ Festival Social Media Platforms.
We include extra promotions within your contracts but it’s up to you to let us know what you need and to provide us content in order to do so. You know your business better than I do and you know what types of products and/or services you are bringing with you to the festival.
Over the past three years, Creativ Festival’s social presence has significantly picked up with a significant portion of our ticket sales now being purchased online before showing up to the festival. This increase confirms that the majority of ticket holders are coming to investigate, review and make their ticket purchases in advance through Creativ Festival’s website.
Creativ Festival’s Blog has an exceptional Google Indexing Rank that is well above average. We’ve done our job to ensure our content is well put together, organized and structured.
To get extra exposure other than your name on the Show Floor Map provided a week before the show. Exhibitors have an opportunity to get ahead and in front of the guests up to 2 months before the show. Being targeted by guests comes down to exhibitors providing information, pictures and show teasers to entice a visit which may turn into a sale.
Our Social Media Scheduling
The earlier you provide the information, the better the social media spot will be prior to the show. We have 7 genres that we equally promote and intentionally spread them out to have an equal opportunity to be featured. For example, if I focus on beading, I won’t revisit beading until the other 6 genres have had their chance to be featured. We do our very best to spread exhibitors and genres apart to ensure direct competitors on the show floor are not featured at the same time.
I work from posting directly before the show, October 24th being the start date going backwards and fill in our predefined schedule with exhibitors that are matching the genres in the schedule. The earlier you respond and provide info, the closer to the show you will be featured. Closer to the show simply means more people are paying attention and eager to find out what is happening because they are excited. These are the best times to be featured.
September 30, 2014 is the cut off day for exhibitor features. We have an estimated 400 postings to schedule leading up to the show and all available spots will definitely be gone by this date.
Each Exhibitor is allowed 2 promotional spots, unless they are doing something extra special that requires more than 2.
Additional Facebook Advertising
Each confirmed exhibitor is allowed to post onto Creativ Festival’s Facebook. For extra attention that will get noticed:
- Post a picture with your write up. Pictures grab people’s attention right away.
- Occasionally, I come along and move the post to a featured position. Comment only postings cannot be featured by Facebook, there must be a picture with it in order for me to feature it.
This additional promotion is up to the exhibitor to provide this to Facebook. Just be respectful and don’t over post and allow other exhibitors to have a fair chance to post as well. 😀

- Detailed write up about 2 – 3 paragraphs. Please provide the write up exactly as you like it to appear. Be inspirational but also luring to attract Creativ Festival visitors to your booth to look more into what you are referring to. ** Do not refer me to your website for me to do research or pull information. I will do minor editing of your content to gel with our blog.
- Provide 1 to 3 pictures that are minimum 700px wide and at least 1 with a horizontal orientation to be used as the feature image, otherwise the vertical image will be cropped. ** Smaller photos cannot be used on our blog. Regretfully, we cannot provide a post without a photo.
