Crochet Study of Texture Shawl
The Crochet Study of Texture Shawl is shawl that is intended to push your limits for improving your stitchwork. The pattern is comprehensive with 59 rows of instructions to complete this masterpiece. This is 62″ across by 35″ deep.
There will not be a specific tutorial make for this shawl as many of the stitches already exist in previous tutorials. I will provide those below.
The difference between the Study of Texture Afghan and this is pretty much everything but has to be written differently because you go back and forth in the rows.

I really love this design and want to try it, and the self-striping with the Caron Cotton Cakes is perfect, especially the lovely colors in the hollyhock. But it seems that Caron Cotton Cakes is all sold out in most colors. Do you have a substitute cake style yarn that you would recommend?
im a little confused on goal 2… shouldnt goal 3 and 2 be switched? picket fences then popcorn? i looked at the picture of the completed shawl and thats what it looks like goal 3 ( picket fences ) was done before goal 2 ( popcorn )
Looking forward to this!
hi a friend would love to have this shawl although she prefers rectangle ones, is possible to do this in a rectangle? Thanks
It could be done yes. The afghan took 170 hours to design and shawl is about 140 hours to design. So I am sure a rectangle can be done but I cannot pull that much time aside as we are heading to the face of Christmas at the moment and I am really short of time. There has also been requests for ponchos for this but I am stuck for how much time I have to be able to do it.
Thank you for the diagram pattern
It would be nice if it had complete diagrams
Yeah that would be ideal. IT would take Daniel a week or more to do that. I would have to cancel everything off his plate in order to manage that.
