May9th-2013Hooking The High Seas Cruise

Come join Mikey and The Crochet Crowd aboard 1 of 2 cruises scheduled for February 2014. Both cruises are 7 days and has a great mix of on board cruise entertainment mixed with fun crocheting activities hosted by Mikey. We have intentionally scheduled these cruises in the heart of the winter to allow us to break free from the cold weather to enjoy some fun and relaxation on board.

So whether you are on the East Side or the West Side of the United States, one of our cruises may be just what you need. All course materials are generously sponsored by Red Heart Yarns. We hope to see you at our "All Hookers On Deck Sail Away Reception" on either cruise.

We have a limit of 60 guests per cruise, this newsletter has all of the details you need.

All New Crochet Crowd Website

May 7th, The Crochet Crowd Newsletter with MikeyFinally, The Crochet Crowd leaps forward in technology as Mikey and Diva Dan buckled into their seats to bring a whole new website for crochet crowders. You are obviously on our website now but it wasn't always looking so fabulous. We decided to bring forth a 'Pinterest' feel to our organization and much more.

We have brought forth a new Challenge Control Central where our challenges now have all of the information you need when it comes to following along.

Finally, I picked some patterns to share with you. I also featured a Circular Motif Shawl that I am currently working on right now. You can get the free pattern and some of my thoughts on that in this edition.

Dying Yarn with Kool-Aid

April-16th-2013I ran into a local knitter who I would describe as inspirational, eccentric and educational. I noticed she was wearing a really unique coloured knitted scarf. The colour was vibrant and unlike the colours, shades and dye job I have seen on store shelves. Read more on how it was done.

In this edition are finishing up the Spring Fling Pillow Challenge. There was 640 entries by the time this challenge was finished.

The pre-announcement for the very first Crochet Cruise was also announced. Not to forget, many free patterns were shared in this edition.
