I’ve been looking at this pattern for some time, but I’ll admit it—I’m a little scared to tackle it. You go, girl!

I bought the knitted version in black and in red several years ago. I can only wear them during the cold months. Knowing a FREE crochet version is available and as my confidence grows, I’d be able to make me a few I can wear anytime depending on the yarn I use. Thank you for the inspiration!

Anna I think it is great that you kept at it and finished something that you really wanted to make for yourself and judging from what I can see it looks like you did a fantastic job. I, for one commend you on your perserverance. I have found a pattern for an iten I would like to make for me also but right now haven’t even thought of trying it. I may be lucky and Michael may be doing a tutorial on something very similar to it in the future so I am going to wait a while. If he doesn’t then I eventually will try to tackle the monster. Congratulations on a job well done!

Thank you so much, Cheryl. It was definitely a challenge but the end result was well worth it!
