I appreciate the work done to put this article together. I wanted to do the Globetrotter, but the cost was above my usual price range. I will use this article as a guide to determine if any of the suggested color palates meet my fancy, but I don’t anything can compare to the original colors that the scarf was shown in.

I used sirdar giselle gretel aran which is 43% wool and hayfield aran in wine colour for the main centre panel i used the giselle in the puff stitch rows and also for the fringe. Its heavier with wool and mine weighs in at 1 lb 4 oz. So cozy and warm.

I like the lacy scarf and the suggested substitute yarn. For your information, Patons has Sequin Lace yarn that opens up many other solid colors with a hint of sparkle. Choosing different color combinations/yarn substitutions is something I enjoy doing. I’ll see a pattern and say, “What if…”. You have put it in writing. And your tutorials are great too. Keep up the good work!

This was so great! It helps me as I couldn’t find the Kroy in the colors I wanted. I like the color the model is wearing. My local Michael’s only had one of the contract colors. So, I was trying to decide on an alternative path to take and you did the work for me! Thank you so much!

This kind of consideration for those of us with limited means or a fixed income proves to me that you two are are every bit as special as you come across as in your videos. Thank you very much.

Wow. Wow wow wow! Thank you so much Mikey and Diva Dan for the work you two put into finding us an alternative. I have been debating for a few weeks if doing this project was worth the money. Thank you for providing a path that I can go down now 🙂

Arrg…just after I buy the Kroy! Oh well, I am worth it, and is my birthday present . I think the Rticle is. Great and would gone for the relaxed and casual colors from Diva Dan.

I love that you found a less spendy yarn choice. I am currently unemployed, so I have lots of time, but not so much moolah; this makes the project more doable. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
