But surely it’s illegal to sell a minion hat or a minion inspired hat as you’d would have to have Disney’s permission. I’ve read that Disney have started having inspired items removed from etsy and eBay. It’s copyright isn’t it??

It is yes… No one should be selling their item as knock off of the character without the written consent of Disney. Other people are willing to risk it but I won’t even think about writing my own pattern due to it. I have links here but the responsibility is resting on the original uploader. 😀

I love the little yellow guys, as do my kids:) I have had some success selling my little yellow guy hats, sets and amigurami. I agree with Mike that finishing touches are really important, and I love it when customers tell me the hats/dolls make them laugh:) I’m currently working on an order for the french maid doll and a couple orders of hats for families, it’s amazing to me that adults seem to love the minions as much as the kids do:) With a minion movie in the works I think these guys are going to be around for a while 😉
