    Hello Mikey,
I was just curious about the photo galary. I sent my picture the day of the last clue that night actually and I still not seen it. Should I send again?

I have done every Mystery Crochet and this is the first time I have been unable to complete the challenge. Is there any way you could post a video tutorial on how to put our kangaroo together? I am stuck – the written instructions just say to attach the pieces as shown in the pictures and because the pictures are using all white pieces I really can’t see what they are trying to show us. I cannot figure out the legs – and I don’t see how we can get the pouch on with the legs already sewn on. If anyone has any helpful suggestions I would be grateful – I would hate to have all of these pieces and no cute creature at the end!

There are only 2 animals unable to walk backwards….the kangaroo and the emu. Neither of which have a stomach like a cow. I am guessing a rhino because they are good swimmers, have a stomach like a cow, and it is a MYTH that they cannot walk backwards…..very untrue though.

I’m getting started a little late, but my guess is a HIPPO!!!! It can swim really well, has a huge belly like a cow and it definitely can’t walk backwards!!!

I’m enjoying this little mystery. This is the first time I’ve tried doing amigurumi. Always thought I could not do it. After watching the tutorials I’m doing just fine, easier than I had thought. I’m thinking this just may be a kangaroo. But we will see. lol. So excited for the last clue and to put this together!!!!

What do the little squares mean?

    • September 9, 2015 at 12:30 am
      Permalink

They’re just a point for you to check off, if you’ve printed your instructions out. So it’s easier to keep up to where you’re up to.

The little squares are what you tick when you complete a round so that you can keep count 🙂 Hope this helps you xx

They are boxes for you to check off so you know which round you have completed.

The squares are used to keep up with which rows you’ve finished. You just check off the square after finishing that row. Completely optional.

I love the Mystery Crochet Challenges and this one is veeeerrrrry interesting.

My initial guess is a Narwhale. Part 1 looks like a horn. Parts 2, 4, and 5 look like fins. Part 3 could be the part where the horn is attached to the head, but not real sure. Will have to wait for more clues to see if I am on the right path.

    Let the fun begin.

Can you provide details on how much yarn we will need for the main color? When selecting the link the values range from 275 – 426 yards.

I have always wanted to participate in your mystery crochet projects and other challenge projects. I am hoping to be able to join this time. (I am still wanting to make one of those ‘Mad Hatter’ Hats–yeah, I’m way behind).
Thank you for the heads up so we can prep early. =]
