Bobbie’s Tent Sale Round Up
The tent sale is now over but boy oh boy was it fun.. Spinrite Factory Outlet & Hampton Arts decided to test the waters just to see how the residents of the U.S.A. would like a yarn tent sale. The tent was filled with a yarn and scrap booking supplies. I think after this week, we just may have surpasses their wildest dreams…
The sale was from Monday September 22nd, 2014 thru Saturday September 27th, 2014 and the crew were very busy behind the scenes getting everything ready for us crazy yarnaholics to run in and yell CHARGE IT!!!
Just looking into the tent made you think that you were in Yarn Heaven.. So much yummy yarn to be seen that you just wanted to jump in the boxes like a fun house.
It was interesting just to hear how far crocheters and knitters would drive for a yarn sale and the opportunity to meet Mikey and Diva Dan. A good portion of the east coast was represented, then I hear that a lady came from Oregon and I thought OK she’s the winner for the furthest distance driven but when I was personally there on Saturday (the last day of the sale) I overheard a lady tell Mikey that she came all the way from Italy!! Now that’s dedication! (Mikey’s note: She was from Italy and a fan but just happened to be in the area when the sale was happening. She didn’t come from Italy just for the sale.)
Below you will see that on two separate days we had Crochet Crowd fans who came prepared with large vehicles to carry away their haul. 🙂
I think everyone was very happy with their purchases and the bags upon bags that were carried out of that tent..
Here a few random pics throughout the week… the last one was my Santa’s little helper, hubby being a trooper…
What does was your yarn haul look like from the tent sale. You don’t have to tell how much you spent, don’t want to get you into trouble with your better half.. LOL.. Here is what I purchased.
Would love to hear how far everyone traveled to be at the tent sale. Hubby and I drove 4 hrs from Kernersville, NC.
Let’s lead a chant “BRING IT BACK, BRING IT BACK” to Spinrite and hopefully they will do this again.
Until next time.. Your fellow crochet-aholic signing off.
