Be advised about a security notice for those attending The Crochet Cruises with us in February of 2014, I have been notified of a security issue that affects us crocheters. Not to fear, it’s really no biggie.
There is a strict policy that passengers may not bring on their CARRY ON LUGGAGE any scissors that are more than 4″ long. Carnival’s policy states that it is your responsibility to measure your scissors in advance to avoid being confiscated. If your carry-on has scissors, the tips of the scissors must be rounded off. Y
You are allowed to bring scissors with you to The Crochet Cruises but anything longer than 4″ and have a pointed tip must be in your ‘Checked Baggage’. Remember, that your carry on will going through the x-ray machine prior to boarding, don’t even bother to risk it. Your carry on baggage will pass through xray each time you board the ship at each Port of Call.
So the easiest thing to do is to leave your scissors in your checked baggage/suitcase. Save the hassle and don’t bother to put scissors in your carry on purses or bags.
