Crochet sweaters for adults can be complex, but similar approaches can make the patterns much easier to follow. There was a request to find a women's sweater similar to the Crochet Men's Sweater Stitch Along that was just finished.
I searched for sweaters with the same look, but to my surprise, I found some recently designed sweaters that take the same approach as baby pullover sweaters.
The baby-version sweaters, where you start at the top and work down, involve less sewing, making them somewhat beginner-friendly.

Top Tip
Be sure to gauge anything you are making that fits something specific like a human body. The time it takes to gauge is far less than the time it takes to get to the end and realize the item you have spent hours or days on will not fit correctly.
Both Sweaters Below Have The Same Approach
The men's pullover sweater has four components. It has the front, back, and two sleeve panels to make individually and sew them together.
It is simple stitchwork to not overcomplicate your life. Both of the sweaters below use the same approach.
The Crochet Jewel Box Weekend Sweater lets the yarn do the magic with the colour changing.

You don't need to change the colour in the panel if that is not your vibe, but the sizing and concept for the panel are the same as for the Crochet Seaside Colorblock Sweater.

Three Sweaters Below Have the Baby Approach
The sweaters below grow from the top down to the armpit level, leaving open spaces for the sleeves to be added. Many baby pullover sweaters are done in this same format.
Many crocheters prefer this approach, as sewing seems to scare people off. Truly, it scares me at times too.
The Candy Stripe Snuggle Sweater uses Bernat Blanket in super-bulky #6 yarn. Incredibly fast to make.

More airy is the Crochet Golden Hour Cozy Sweater pattern. More loosely at the top for casual wearing.

The Crochet Bestie Blend Sweater uses Red Heart Heart Super Saver Ombre yarn, and the colours change seamlessly. I find this type of yarn keeps me mentally interested.
