The Crochet Bright Future Blanket is the next evolution of yarn, with 100% recycled yarn. This is a chenille-based yarn, much thinner than Bernat Blanket, called Bernat Future Hope.
I really enjoyed the way this yarn feels when crocheting through the example. I sized this big enough for someone going off to college or university and taking a piece of home with them. The printed pattern includes a crochet diagram that is not shown in this article.
This product is sold at Walmart USA in various colours. The colours seen below are no longer available. You will have to substitute.

This is a simple repeat of the Crochet Zig Zag Pip Stitch, and a tutorial with a scarf is shown at the bottom. Just substitute the starting chain with the blanket version to adjust.

2nd row: Begdc2tog. Ch 1. *Dc2tog using same sp as last leg of previous st and using next ch-1 sp. Ch 1. Rep from * across to last ch-1 sp. Dc2tog using same sp as last leg of previous st and last sc in row. Turn. 133 sts.
3rd row: Ch 1. 1 sc in first st. 1 sc in next ch-1 sp. *Ch 1, sk next dc2tog, 1 sc in next ch-1 sp. Rep from * across. 1 sc in last begdc2tog st. Turn. 133 sts.
4th row: Ch 3 (counts as dc). Dc2tog using the very first st of the row and the next ch-1 sp. *Ch 1. Dc2tog using same sp as last leg of previous st and using next ch-1 sp.
