Crochet Crayon Scarf Pattern + Diagram + Tutorial

The Crochet Crayon Scarf pattern uses the Zig Zag Pip Stitch to create the stitchwork, a new stitch Mikey learned in late 2025. If you don't want to use your Red Heart All In One Granny Square Grande in the square format, you can see how the colours would work out in this stitch if you let the yarn play its own colour tune.

    Changing the Size Tip

The stitch multiple is 4 chains + 2.

The stitch multiple is 4 chains + 2. Generously longer for better presentation, and uses one ball for the main scarf. I used a bit of a second ball from Red Heart Super Saver in the colour called pumpkin to match it.

The crochet diagram, not shown in this article, is included in the download instructions. See the bottom of this article for the download button.
