Since 2014, The Crochet Crowd has been hosting crochet cruises on board various cruise ships. Welcome to our 36th major crochet retreat. Hosted by me, Mikey, and, of course, my better half, Daniel.
This is our first transatlantic crossing, heading directly to Europe and finishing in Amsterdam, Netherlands. We will be on board Celebrity Apex, an Edge-class ship.

From Amsterdam, you can decide to go home.
AND/OR From Amsterdam, the ship will continue onward to the British Isles for nearly another 2 weeks of destination bucket-list cruising. Of course, we will be on board as well.
OR start completely fresh in Amsterdam to go with us to the British Isles.

By filling out the notification form, you are simply expressing your interest in learning more once we have finalized the details.
The form has some questions for you to fill in. We are going to review those answers. The submissions will be time-stamped, and emails will be sent in the order they are received.
By requesting notification, you are not obligated to attend. We are not collecting your email for any other purpose, and it will not be added to any other lists we have.
Workshop Structure
We've got your swag and yarn to bring the ship aboard.
Our classes are about 90 minutes long. We host parties in addition to the educational component. We also have breakfast club, afternoon tea meet-ups, and martini bar socials in the evenings. We may be carrying yarn, but we are definitely there for a great time with new memories to carry us forward.
You can bring non-crocheters with you, as the classes are only 90 minutes long. They are welcome to attend our other activities; in fact, we encourage it, as they are part of you.
Exclusive Parties
For both the Transatlantic and British Isles cruises, there will be two private parties per cruise, dedicated solely to our group. That includes any guests you bring that are not crocheters.
We are going to review different cruise lines and look at available spaces to host our party on board. Personally, I prefer Celebrity Cruises for the level of service and the expectations we have of them as a group.

This is plenty of sea days filled with entertainment on the ship. There will be no evening workshop times, as we have all day to play. We may have the parties in the evenings.

Other Notes
- Our agent is Sherry Leybovich taking care of our bookings and everything behind the scenes.
- We always have early dining room times.
- We will have a pre-cruise hotel setup in Orlando/Cape Canaveral for Those Flying In A Day or so before.
- Our agent can arrange a hotel for you at the end of the cruise if you need to wait for your return flight or come home if you cannot get on a plane the same day the ship arrives.
- I will be with you for the entire cruise, Mikey. Daniel will join us in Amsterdam for the second leg.
- You must book with our agent as our activities are a private event on board.

When we have a new adventure to share we post about it so you know to expect sign ups will be coming soon. The Events menu on our website will be where all of the in the works ones will be available.
Mikey usually will make a couple posts around the time signups open. Each event has a limited number of spaces and normally a waitlist is created.

I currently make mostly items to donate - Project Linus, various charities in my area

I've never been on a cruise bc of budget issues, except for when I took one around Hawaii, AGES ago! I actually worked x a cruise company that owned 3 cruise ships. A cruise was free for every yr that you worked x them. I got 2 cruises. 😍 Anyways, since I've not even wished to go on a crochet cruise bc it seemed impossible. But your idea of crossing the pond on the basis of hooking?! The answer is YES. Have you thought of a trip to the British Isles where crochet is a way of life? I'm thinking Wales, Scotland, & possibly Ireland? It's been an oven recently, but we'd have the ship as a retreat from the heat, right? 👍🏻
