Easy does it is the Crochet Gingerbread Christmas Toss Throw. Each revolution to sit in front of the TV to hook up. It took Mikey two days to make this blanket. The time commitment with this thickness of yarn is speedy—an easy last-minute gift idea.
You can use the same pattern with a different yarn and hook size to make it work in case you want to use it for something else.
This uses only one ball of Caron Anniversary Cakes. The colour shown is called Gingerbread.

Abbreviations
- Beg = Begin(ning)
- Ch(s) = Chain(s)
- Join = Join to beg st with an hdc. Equivalent to a ch-2 space.
- Rep = Repeat
- RS = Right Side
- Sc = Single Crochet
- Sk = Skip
- Sl st = Slip Stitch
- Sp(s) = Space(es)
- St(s) = Stitch(es)
Notes
- Using hdc joins will help eliminate the twisting that can occur in a square blanket. If you prefer ch 2 and join with a slip stitch, you can use that too, but the centre may twist. Your call, you are the designer.
- Stitch counts are given per side. Counts per side don’t include the ch-2 sp corners.
- Allow the colours to come out of the ball, as is. There was no colour strategy and just let the yarn play itself out.

Super simple pattern, made it easy to get started and complete in just a few days. Love the colorway, perfect for fall leading into Christmas since the warm colors are great for Thanksgiving too.
