Learn how to Crochet Lush Life Blanket using one of the most popular yarns today, Bernat Blanket Yarn.

This blanket plays with the concept of simply crocheting double crochets and front post trebles (fptr). The FPTR's are easy to manage and create the luscious textures and ultra-softness, in this already super plush yarn. It's like hugging a cloud.

Cuddle up on the couch or put on the chick flick and cry into a bowl of popcorn. This blanket is fabulous. The video tutorial below is available to show you the steps. It's really easy. I would even guess beginners could master this one.

      Hi Mikey,

I want to make the Lush Life blanket with Bernat Blanket. I already have the 6 skeins that I need. I started to follow the pattern with a chain of 67. I continued with row 2 of dc (using size N hook). When I measured, it was only approx 35 inches wide. Do I just need to make the starting chain MUCH looser? What am I doing wrong? I'd appreciate any advice.

You could increase your hook to a P or 12 mm... Sounds like you are tight crocheter. I find with the Bernat Blanket I am tight and I usually increase my hook size to compensate that. Try that.

This was my first attempt to crochet anything and it was a great experience. The tutorial was great and easy to follow. 6 balls of yarn later I am just now wondering how to finish it. Is there something special that needs to be done to ensure that it doesn't come undone? Please advise. I don't want my work to go to waste. Thank you again.

Weave in the ends going back and forth three times. You can see how it is done here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_0jr0Zx2VzI

Could you please send a link of how to change color? You didn’t show how to do the blanket shown and the written doesn’t tell either.
