The Crochet Nesting Baskets use the latest yarns from Yarnspirations called Bernat Fab. It's a polyester tube yarn with a printed exterior featuring flowers. It's quite pretty.
I wouldn't have been sold on this type of yarn, but the floral prints sold me as clean-looking, meaning solid colours tend to scuff and look tired over time. I find this colouring will help the basket hide imperfections caused by dust and other factors.

Top Tip
With this type of yarn, the baskets will stay upright, but you can always reduce your hook size to make them more solid and stiffer.
The tutorial version used a 10 mm / N/P hook, which was much smaller than what the pattern suggested. I did that intentionally as I converted the large size to a cat basket using only 5 balls of this yarn instead of 6.
This is a beginner-friendly crochet project to enjoy. All three basket sizes are included in the pattern, and the tutorial will cover all three.
