    Hook: 8 mm / L/11.

    Size: 43” wide x 50” long without twisted fringe.

    Gauge: 10 sc and 8 rows = 4” [10 cm]

    Instructions

    With A, ch 164. Stitch multiple is 27 chs + 2. 

    1st row: RS. 2 sc ch from hook, [ch 1, sk st, 1 sc in next st] 6 times, sk next 2 chs. [1 sc in next st, ch 1, sk st] 6 times. *3 sc in next st, [ch 1, sk st, 1 sc in next st] 6 times, sk next 2 chs. [1 sc in next st, ch 1, sk st] 6 times. Rep from * across. 2 sc in last ch. Turn. 

    2nd row: Ch 1. 2 sc in first st. [ch 1, sk next sc, 1 sc in next ch-1 sp] 6 times, sk 2 sc, *[1 sc in next ch-1 sp, ch 1, sk next sc] 6 times. *3 sc in next sc. [ch 1, sk next sc, 1 sc in next ch-1 sp] 6 times, sk 2 sc, *[1 sc in next ch-1 sp, ch 1, sk next sc] 6 times. Rep from * across. 2 sc in last sc. Turn. 

    3rd to 6th rows: Rep 2nd row. Break A at the end of the 6th row. 

    7th row: With B, join with sl st to first st. Ch 1. 2 dc in first st. [Sk next sc, 2 dc in next ch-1 sp] 6 times, sk 2 sc, *[2 dc in next ch-1 sp, sk next sc] 6 times. *3 dc in next sc. [Sk next sc, 2 dc in next ch-1 sp] 6 times, sk 2 sc, *[2 dc in next ch-1 sp, sk next sc] 6 times. Rep from * across. 2 dc in last sc. Break B. Turn.  

    TIP: In the next row, the single crochet will slide in between groups of 2 dc from the previous row. This will cause the linen stitch to reappear for the next cycle of the repeat. 

    Crochet Chevron Stitches with Starry Night Crochet Blanket Pattern

    8th row: With A, join with sl st to first st. Ch 1. 2 sc in first st. [Ch 1, sk next dc, 1 sc between the posts before the next dc. [Ch 1, sk next 2 dc, 1 sc between the posts before the next dc] 5 times. Sk next 4 dc. 1 sc between the posts before the next dc. [Ch 1. Sk next 2 dc, 1 sc between the posts before the next dc] 5 times. Ch 1, sk next dc. *3 sc in next dc. [Ch 1, sk next dc, 1 sc between the posts before the next dc. [Ch 1, sk next 2 dc, 1 sc between the posts before the next dc] 5 times. Sk next 4 dc. 1 sc between the posts before the next dc. [Ch 1. Sk next 2 dc, 1 sc between the posts before the next dc] 5 times. Ch 1, sk next dc. Rep from * across. 2 sc in last dc. Turn. 

    9th to 12th rows: Ch 1. 2 sc in first st. [ch 1, sk next sc, 1 sc in next ch-1 sp] 6 times, sk 2 sc, *[1 sc in next ch-1 sp, ch 1, sk next sc] 6 times. *3 sc in next sc. [ch 1, sk next sc, 1 sc in next ch-1 sp] 6 times, sk 2 sc, *[1 sc in next ch-1 sp, ch 1, sk next sc] 6 times. Rep from * across. 2 sc in last sc. Turn. 

    13th row: With B, join with sl st to first st. Ch 1. 2 dc in first st. [Sk next sc, 2 dc in next ch-1 sp] 6 times, sk 2 sc, *[2 dc in next ch-1 sp, sk next sc] 6 times. *3 dc in next sc.     Rep 8th to 13 rows, 9 more times. Then 8th to 12th row once more.

    On the final repeat, don’t break A and continue to the last row in the instructions. 

    Last row: Ch 1. 2 sc in first st. [ch 1, sk next sc, 1 sc in next ch-1 sp] 6 times, sk 2 sc, *[1 sc in next ch-1 sp, ch 1, sk next sc] 6 times. *3 sc in next sc.     Crochet Coil Fringe

    Top Twisted Fringe

    Coil Fringe = Draw up a loop 12" long. Twist loop 40 times. Sl st into the same st, allowing twisted loop to coil around itself) twice. Pull the coil open and then let it recoil to itself.

    If you do more than 12” long loops, you will run out of B yarn, and if you haven’t checked gauge, you may want it to be only 10” long loops instead. 

    1st row: RS. With B and RS facing, attach with sl st to first st. 1 sc in same first st. Coil fringe. 1 sc in same first st. [Ch 1. 1 sc in next ch-1 sp. Coil Fringe] 6 times. [1 sc in next ch-1 sp. Coil Fringe. Ch 1] 6 times. *Sk next sc, [1 sc in next sc, coil fringe] 3 times. [Ch 1. 1 sc in next ch-1 sp. Coil Fringe] 6 times. [1 sc in next ch-1 sp. Coil Fringe. Ch 1] 6 times. Rep from across. Sk next sc, 1 sc in next sc, 1 sc in same st as last st, coil fringe. Fasten off. 

    Bottom Twisted Fringe

    1st row: RS. With B and RS facing, attach with sl st to first st. 1 sc in same first st. Coil fringe. Sk next ch-1 sp and sc.[Ch 1. 1 sc in next ch-1 sp. Coil Fringe] 6 times. [1 sc in next ch-1 sp. Coil Fringe. Ch 1] 5 times. *Sk next sc, [1 sc in next sc, coil fringe] 3 times in same ch-2 sp. [Ch 1. 1 sc in next ch-1 sp. Coil Fringe] 6 times. [1 sc in next ch-1 sp. Coil Fringe. Ch 1] 6 times. Rep from across. Sk next sc and ch-1 sp, 1 sc in last st, coil fringe. Fasten off.
