    Free Patons Easy Crochet Snowflake Coaster Free Pattern with Crochet Diagram

    Enjoy a floating crochet snowflake inside a frame to form this 5" crochet coaster made with Patons Grace yarn. Each ball of Patons Grace can make five snowflake coasters.

    This is the Easy Crochet Snowflake Coaster pattern. The coaster has seven rounds total and is pretty easy to put together.

    Materials

    Patons Grace (125 m/136 yds) - 1 ball Snow. One ball makes five coasters. 

    Use 2.5 mm, U.S. C

    Gauge = 16 sc and 17 rows = 2”

    Measurements Approx 5” diameter. 

    Abbreviations

    • Beg = Begin(ing)
    • Ch = Chain
    • Hdc = Half Double crochet
    • Dc = Double crochet
    • Rem = Remain(ing)
    • Rnd(s) = Round(s)
    • RS = Right side
    • Picot = Ch 3, sl st in beg ch. 
    • Sc = Single crochet
    • Sk = Skip
    • Sl st = Slip stitch
    • Sp(s) = Space(es)
    • St(s) = Stitch(es)

    Ch 6. Join with a sl st to form ring. 

    1st rnd: Ch 3 (counts as dc). 11 dc in ring; join with a slip st in first dc. 12 dc. 

    2nd rnd: Ch 1. 1 sc in first st, (ch 3, sc in next sc) 11 times. Join with hdc (counts as ch-3 sp) to beg sc. 12 ch-3 sps and 12 sc. 

    3rd rnd: Ch 1. 1 sc over the side of hdc post, *(2 dc, ch 3, 2 dc) in next space**, sc in next sp; rep from * around, ending last repeat at **. Join with a sl st in first sc. 6 points established.

    4th rnd: Ch 4, slip st in same st as join, *ch 2, (sc, ch 3, sc, ch 5, sc, ch 3, sc) in next ch-3 space, ch 2**, (slip st, ch 4, slip st) in next sc; repeat from * around, ending last repeat at **; join with a sl st in sl st of last rnd. Break yarn. 

    5th rnd: With sl st, join to any ch-5 sp. 1 sc in same sp. Ch 5, 1 dc in next ch-4 sp, ch 5. *1 sc in next ch-5 sp, ch 5, 1 dc in next ch-4 sp, ch 5. Rep from * around. Join with sl st to beg sc. 

    6th rnd: Ch 1. 1 sc in same st as join. 6 sc in ch-5 sp. *1 sc in next sc. 6 sc in next ch-5 sp. Rep from * around. Join with sl st to beg sc. 

    7th: Ch 1, 1 sc in same st as join. 1 sc in next st, 1 hdc in next st, 2 dc in next st, picot, 1 dc in next st, 1 hdc in next st, 1 sc in next st. *1 sc in next 2 sts, 1 hdc in next st, 2 dc in next st, picot, 1 dc in next st, 1 hdc in next st, 1 sc in next st. Rep from * around. Join with sl st to beg sc. Fasten off.
