Learn how to Knit a Garter Stitch Blanket. This is an easy pattern. The blanket's edging has a flared open edge. I've always wanted to know how this was done. Lo and behold, I put time into understanding the concept. I'm pretty glad I learned.
This is possible because there is a repeat of 8 rows. Since this was my first time, I studied the concept and figured out how to make it easier for us. The use of stitch markers quickly removes a lot of the counting from the equation.
You don't want to be counting too much, and the counting is simplified down to be more digestible.

The blanket uses Bernat Sport Ombre Twist yarn. For the tutorial, I used Bernat Maker Splash as a demonstration with thicker needles, 8 mm circular knitting needles.
