Each item produced by Yarnspirations has its own intended use. Sometimes, it can be home decor; other times, it can be more fashion-forward. It can also be used for crafting or creators' choices on what they prefer. The brand I have enjoyed the most of all time is Caron Cotton Cakes.
NEW - Caron Toffee Cakes
I'm most intrigued by the Caron Toffee Cakes this year. It's a new product, and it's not like the Caron Latte Cakes we have seen before. It's got something to it that lures me, and it's the additional polyester spun into the yarn that gives it a luster.
It's reminding me of Caron Jumbo Twirl, but much softer. The addition of polyester in this case will give the final project real umph in its appeal.
You need to touch this yarn to see how squishy it is and how it feels like magic. With the 60% acrylic, 31% polyester, and the extra strength applied with 9% nylon, you can make those wearables and they'll last.
Though I chose a darker color of the Caron Toffee Cakes, there are other choices that may hit the perfect chord in your yarn orchestra. Check out this crochet sweater pattern. It's pretty cheerful, and I bet it feels so good to wear too.
A recommendation of a 6 mm / J/10 crochet hook or 6 mm / US 10 knitting needle is recommended. This yarn will puff out when you crochet with it. While it can appear thin, the stitchwork will do its magic.

I feel like this product went under the radar last year. The unique way it feels to crochet with it is really interesting. What captivated me about this yarn was the color stories.
Designed for fun, it delivers with the additional pom-pom included. Pretty much one ball equals one hat. Whether you crochet or knit with it.

Caron Birthday Cakes recommends a 6.5 mm / K/10.5 crochet hook or 6.5 mm / US 10.5 knitting needle. You can wash and dry this product; it's 100% acrylic yarn with 50% polyester/50% Olefin (durable as plastic but in yarn form).
NEW - Caron Sugar Cakes
Completely new is Caron Sugar Cakes for fall 2026. A marled yarn that is 100% acrylic. No worries about wool allergies, though it has that look to it.
The yarn has two plies, but the marling occurs within those plies, giving it a unique look. I have Bernat Harmony on my desk, and it feels very similar and has similar marled effects. The major difference is that Bernat Harmony recommends a 5.5 mm / I/9 crochet hook for a medium #4 weight, while Caron Sugar Cakes is a bulky weight and recommends an 8 mm / L/11 crochet hook.
Looking at the two side by side, the Caron Sugar Cakes has a halo look to the yarn, while Bernat Harmony is flatter. I bet a top with this would look amazing in person to see.

COLOURS - Caron Slice of Anniversary Cakes
Originally launched in 2025, the Caron Slice of Anniversary Cakes was recolored for the 2026 celebration. This is just like Caron Anniversary Cakes in look and feel, but without the massive ball commitment. The colors also change faster than the Caron Anniversary Cakes.
It's almost cliché, really. Give a piece of cake instead of the whole thing. This will allow crocheters or knitters to enjoy this yarn even more.
The color line-up is fresh and bold. Something that will make you stand out from the crowd in a field of gray, stormy winter weather ahead.

This yarn is 100% acrylic. Recommending the 8 mm / L/11 crochet hook size or 8 mm / US 11 knitting needles. You can mix and match this yarn with regular Caron Anniversary Cakes.

Back again for another anniversary are the Caron Anniversary Cakes. Huge balls of 1061 yards and a whopping 35.3 oz of yarn. This yarn is so long, it can span nearly 9 football fields from one end to the other.
More color options, and the best thing I love about this yarn is that one ball can do a toss throw easily. Add more yarn to get even larger sizes. You can mix your Caron Slice of Anniversary Cakes for more joy.
People say this yarn is expensive, but given that it is a super bulky #6 weight for a chunky look, I think the price point is fair.
The Caron Anniversary Crochet Blanket shown here uses 4 balls, but it's highly textured with the crochet alpine stitch, which will make the blanket even thicker and heavier, for that matter.
