Primarily a prayer shawl ministry, A Knitted Blessing's goal is to help ease people through difficult times. The destination for a lot of my prayer shawls is the infant and perinatal bereavement support group at my local hospital, an organization with which I have personal experience. Despite its name, A Knitted Blessing will also gratefully accept crocheted donations, as I am accomplished in and enjoy both disciplines. Shawls can be any color, shape or design. I tend to keep my rectangular shawls 18"-22" long by about 60" wide, but that's just my personal preference. I ask that the yarns used be machine wash, as I fervently believe the last thing anyone wants to do while going through a period if mourning is hand wash anything.
