Join crocheters on an island adventure in Prince Edward Island from August 1st to 7th, 2026. Hosted by Mikey and Karen to take crocheters through the stomping grounds of one of Canada's most beautiful provinces. This adventure is called Kindred Spirits, with an homage to the Anne of Green Gables collaboration and theming throughout.

We have a maximum guest capacity of 54, and every seat is taken.

Come with us and step back in time and into the charming story of Anne of Green Gables.

    Planned Events

    • Pre-Event Day Before: Everyone will start at Enfield International Airport in Nova Scotia and stay at the Alt Hotel. Pick up your swag.
    • We will take you directly to Prince Edward Island and cross by ferry to kick off your journey. You can get off the bus at the ferry and take as many photos as you want.
    • We offer several types of accommodations at the Holman Hotel. We will take up the majority of the hotel as a group.
    • A Foldable Chair is provided throughout your journey for pop-up stitch'n sessions or in regions without seating so that you can take a moment.
    • We have arranged your tickets and additional experiences for the Anne & Gilbert The Musical production to help you better understand Prince Edward Island, and the island will make more sense to you as you continue with us.
    • You will see and feel the charm of local artisans and musicians.
    • Get up close and personal with animals that help produce natural fibres—hands-on activities.
    • The Oyster Festival will be in full swing, and there may be an opportunity to shuck your own.
    • Panoramic Views in our host hotel, as we have the entire top floor with wrap-around floor-to-ceiling windows and balconies.
    • Find treasures in the sand along pristine beach(es).
    • Yarn shopping for local fibres in select location stops.
    • Local shopping for keepsakes.
    • Find an iconic Prince Edward Island Red Mud Shirt dyed with the real mud or mud up your own on the Tidal Bore River Rafting Tour.
    • Tidal Bore River Rafting & Mud Sliding will finish up our trip with the record-breaking tidal swings.
    • Optional Deep Sea Fishing Expedition with Karen, with a maximum of 12 guests only.

Upon Your Return to the Alt Hotel

We will cross one of the longest bridges in the world. Hitting up the shopping and welcome centre before we leave Prince Edward Island.

    Hotel Location

We carefully selected the hotel location to be central in the charming small city of Charlotteown. Within minutes, you have access to numerous restaurants, eateries, shopping and entertainment. Most locations cannot accommodate large groups for dining, and in our next section, I will share how we are keeping your budget in check.

    Food & Catering

We are providing breakfast and 3 lunches while we are day-tripping.

We have left the evening suppers and some lunches open for you to buy your own. Why?

    • There are so many restaurants within minutes of the hotel. You may feel like seafood, a pub, a coffee shop, treats, ice cream, or even McDonald's.
    • You can adjust your budget based on how you feel in the moment. Grab some new friends and take them with you.
    • Providing catering for every meal is very expensive, and it is an expense you can control.

Prince Edward Island thrives during two short months and is heavily reliant on tourism. Visit Prince Edward Island before or after summer, when the sidewalks are rolled up, and many locations are boarded up.

    No Medical Devices

Given the geography and activities we have planned, you must be able to walk unassisted without medical devices, including on uneven surfaces, hills, stairs, beaches, and more. You will board buses, watercraft and some buildings without elevators. You will need to keep up with the group—hiking shoes, water shoes and possibly rain shoes/boots in the event of inclement weather.

You must handle your own luggage without assistance from hotel staff or carts.

You need to be unassisted by canes, walkers, wheelchairs or scooters.

Much of Prince Edward Island remains undeveloped and in pristine, untouched condition. If you require mobility assistance or if your condition prevents you from using the regular flat tourist paths, this trip is not for you.

Get On the Contact List To Be Notified First

If you don't use Google, you must sign up for a Google account. We use Google Forms to communicate, collect your dietary restrictions for meal planning, and complete any other surveys we may need to make this trip possible.

    SIGN UP FOR NOTIFICATION

By signing up, you are not committing to attend, but you will have first access to pricing. Sign up on a first-come, first-served basis. Subscribers to this list will receive an email notifying them when bookings open, and the bookings will not be discussed on social media to give them first access.

We will take you on a backstage pass to Prince Edward Island, where locations are off the beaten track, for a true Prince Edward Island Experience. We will have foldable chairs for each guest on the coach to sit out, eat, or relax throughout the tour.

    One More Note

We do have one caveat. With our Nova Scotia Crochet Adventure, we had no intention of offering a second tour, but it ended up happening because the waitlist was very long. We will not be able to run a second tour due to the limited tourism window in Prince Edward Island. We are asking locals not to sign up for this adventure—people who can go to Prince Edward Island on a whim. We will have a limited number of 54 guests, including any friends or spouses a crocheter brings. We want to keep this tour for first-time visitors, as it's such a unique place.

As with our Nova Scotia Crochet Adventure, we want to show you activities and more from our perspective. A backstage pass, a tour with shopping, walking, culinary, one-of-a-kind views and connectivity as crocheters. This is your tour if you love fresh seafood such as oysters, clams, lobsters and mussels. For landlubbers like Mikey, there are other options as well. It's not just seafood.

You can stay in Prince Edward Island or arrive early to meet us at the hotel we will be staying at. We will be in the same place throughout the week.

I would really be interested in this crochet tour.
I’m trying to get out of my comfort zone since my husband passed away a year ago.
Meeting new friends and adventures are on my list.

G'd morning. we are still going through quotation phase with hotel and vendors right now. We are not ready to have sign ups as we don't know our final production costs for the events yet.

I went on one of your early crochet cruises and loved it. Have followed you ever since. Unfortunately my travel partner decided to get married so I was on my own again. I recently found a crochet buddy who would love to travel with me to PEI. Hopefully we will be able to get signed up before it fills up!

We will be a bit before we open bookings as the hotels haven't started and vendors for food services haven't firmed up anything for next year yet. They tend to work at the end of the season, which is now, to set their schedule for the following year.
