In negotiations, we are planting a seed to create the Prince Edward Island Crochet Adventure for August 2026. Party planner Karen Ellis will take the helm and work with vendors for pricing and activities throughout the adventure.

Prince Edward Island is one of the most beautiful provinces in the Maritimes of Canada. It's known for its potatoes and Anne of Green Gables. Prince Edward Island has a two-month tourism window, festivals and much more. Going too early or going late means places are closed.
We have tentatively planned for Saturday, August 1st, to Friday, August 7th, 2026.
We are in the height of tourism season, the best season for Prince Edward Island, and prices will reflect that based on accommodations. We will have suggested options to help you maintain a budget.
Our tentative plan is to fly into Halifax and then go by bus together. Why? It's easier logistically for you to fly in, stay, and go together. It's only three hours to Prince Edward Island, and some Nova Scotians can have Prince Edward Island as a day trip.
Get On the Contact List To Be Notified First
If you don't use Google, you must sign up for it. We use Google Forms to communicate, obtain your dietary restrictions for meal planning, and complete any other surveys that we may need to make this trip happen.
By signing up, you do not agree to go, but you will have first access to see the pricing. Sign up on a first-come, first-served basis. Subscribers of this list will get an email to let them know when the bookings open, and they will not be discussed on social media to give them first access.
Mobility Restrictions
Some regions of our visits will include sandy and extremely rocky beaches, stairs without ramps, and uneven surfaces.
- You must walk at a regular pace, unassisted by canes, walkers, or wheelchairs.
- Do not sign up for this in the hopes of staying on the bus and waiting for the group. Due to legal restrictions, the bus cannot idle.
- Depending on the activity and location, you may walk up to 13,000 steps in a day. The hotel is centrally located in Charlottetown, with restaurants and activities surrounding it.
- You need the ability to climb up and down boats using their ramps to board the vessels.
- You will need to load and unload the tall coach bus.
- You will need to be able to climb and descend inclines, which may include gravel roads, trails, and more.
- You must handle your own luggage, unassisted by hotel staff or carts.
- Every seat on the bus is sold; do not count on an empty seat beside you should you need more space.
We will take you on a backstage pass to Prince Edward Island, where locations are off the beaten track, for a true Prince Edward Island Experience. We will have foldable chairs for each guest on the coach to sit out, eat, or relax throughout the tour.

One More Note
We do have one caveat. With our Nova Scotia Crochet Adventure, we had no intention of doing a second tour, but it ended up happening because the waiting list was huge. We will not have the option to run a second tour due to the limited tourism window in Prince Edward Island. We are asking locals not to sign up for this adventure—people who can go to Prince Edward Island on a whim. We will have a limited 54 guests only, including any friends or spouses that a crocheter brings. We want to keep this tour for people who have never been, as it's such a unique place.
Like our Nova Scotia Crochet Adventure, we want to show you and do activities and more from our point of view. A backstage pass, a tour with shopping, walking, culinary, one-of-a-kind views and connectivity as crocheters. This is your tour if you love fresh seafood such as oysters, clams, lobsters and mussels. For land lubbers, like Mikey, there are other options too. It's not just seafood.
You can opt to stay in Prince Edward Island or go early to meet us at the hotel we will have. We will be in the same place throughout the week.
Stay tuned. This one is more complicated than Nova Scotia tour for arrangements but doable with a good scheduler, aka Karen.
Last Note
Do not book any time off from work yet. We are not 100% confirmed until we can settle all of the activity and accommodation contracts first.

Thank you Mikey and Karen for an amazing week. I had so much fun and met some wonderful people, most of all you and Karen. Remember it is always wine and yarn time somewhere ❤️❤️

I’m trying to get out of my comfort zone since my husband passed away a year ago.
Meeting new friends and adventures are on my list.
