There is an uplift of interest in miniature characters for stuffies and loveable in crochet, such as this Crochet Mini Monster using Red Heart Super Saver yarn.
The original pattern called for Red Heart Amigurumi Textures yarn which I have never heard of before. It used a 2.5 mm / B/1 crochet hook but I didn't want to be that small. I used Red Heart Super Saver for the body and utilized Red Heart Hygge yarn for the back of the eyes.
This may be a great charity box item as it gives off smiles.
I increased my hook to a 4 mm / F hook. It changed the character to being 7" tall and 5" wide without the hands. It's a cute little holdable monster.
Like other amigurumi, I tend to stage the characters with emotional poses. If you want this to stand independently, just add a third leg behind the other two. It's a monster; your creativity is unlimited.
