For the next two months, we are running a weekly giveaway for our website subscribers as a testing trial. Our newsletter goes out once a week. When you sign up, you only use your email address and name.

You will find our sign-up automatically on the home page of our website and below.
- We will look at the weekly email list to find the number of subscribers, then run an auto generator to pick a number. The number is fluid as people subscribe and unsubscribe.
- We did not ask for your location when you signed up; if you are selected, we will email you privately to get your postal information on where the mystery item can be sent. We will cover the cost of the gift and shipping to you.
Gifts may include random products from Yarnspirations, little special yarn-related items that Mikey loves, and more.
Out of privacy, we will not announce the individual's first and last name, but once we have contacted that person, we will just give the first name and approximate area, like Wilma from Oklahoma.
Disclaimer: We do not share or sell our email list with anyone. We don't collect credit card information or specific personal information such as government identification as it's unnecessary for our business.

Hello Mikey, I'm missing a post that you had made regarding pride month. I was on the road and unable to read most of it and when I went back to finish it, I couldn't find it again. What I did read touched my heart and my life more than you could possibly know. So I would love to read the rest of it and reflect on what you were saying. The lives of this group intersect on some level, that is why we have been brought together as a group with crochet as our medium. Sounds a bit, whoooo whoooo whoooo, that's supposed to be a spooky sound! But either way, could you send me the link to your post again? I am working on my projects for the November cruise.
Thanks so much,
Claire Hoover aka starred 53

If you go to our business page (The Crochet Crowd) and scroll down on the posts, you will be able to find it. The photo is a snapshot of multiple projects done in rainbow colors.
That way you can browse other posts you may have missed as well.

Hi Mikey,
Love your videos. I just started learning to crochet in Dec 2023. Last summer I completed two king sized granny square log cabin blankets. Sure got my double crochets down pat! Lately, I've been diving into the world of entrelac. Attached is what I am currently working on. I absolutely do not have an eye for color, so I was wondering what your impressions are. My husband tells me this is hideous, lol!
Mikey says
Tell him to suck eggs! hahah... Your work is bang on perfect.... Keep on hook'n!

Hello Mikey,
I do so love your website and have completed at least one of your patterns, the Study of a Christmas Cookie. I absolutely love how it turned out. I have to be honest, I do better watching videos rather than trying to figure out reading instructions. Your videos are sooooo helpful. I am currently working on the Community Project blanket and am ready to join the squares (they have turned out beautifully!). Is there a video availabe on the joining and border by any chance? Keep up your wonderful work!!

When buying your pattern on your website it is in Canadian dollars, will it at checkout change to US dollars?
And also is the kit of yarn on Yarnspirations enough yarn for the 50” pattern, any leftover to make larger, or how to gauge buying enough yarn to enlarge pattern if desired another 10”??
thanks
Trish
Love you!. And I know about the radiculopathy pain, I have it in my shoulder and was told a few years back had the carpal tunnel syndrome stuff, now with avid crocheting I am really doing a number on the osteoarthritis I already had going on. I am a retired RN, so all this junk I have dealt with for awhile. Now stuck in a place where absolutely no healthcare, I truly need to get back north again.
Xoxo
Mikey says
Your credit card will convert it to CDN. It's approximately $4.93 USD for the pattern though it states $6.99 CDN. Your dollar is stronger than ours up here in Canada.
The kit is giving you 2 balls of every colour but you only need one. So you have double the yarn in the kit so you can make it bigger if you want it without a problem.
Chronic pain is a problem and as we age, it seems to suck all the more. There are so many stories out of the USA right now, I cannot tell which is real and what is manufactured rage. I've been reading stories about the possibility of healthcare being taken away in the USA but I don't really understand it to be honest with you. I hope it will all work out but it's pretty bleak right now.

Hi! Love all your work! I was wondering if there's an eta on the Study of Reality blanket? It really caught my eye and I really would love to get hooking on it! LOL
Mikey says
I'm really not sure yet. My next meeting is with Yarnspirations next week to find out more about timing. We are teaming up for my design on that one.

Hi Michael, I discovered the Nutcracker at the Boutique Spa - Amazing! Never knew you had a website either. Of course my crocheting days are over so wasn’t really looking ?.
Anyway, I have a queen size crocheted bedspread, navy & white granny squares sewed together. However, I never did finish it - needs border. I have enough yarn to crochet the border.
I will gladly donate it to you/your group as you know best where it can be used. Or you might need to take it apart.
Please email & let me know if you want it. Thanks
jl
Mikey says
I can mention it to the group but it's usually not something we get involved with. However, many of the women are involved in charity work and may be gladly take it and finish it to be donate it. Leave it with me to follow up.

I can not for the life of me find the link to subscribe to the newsletter. I see the giveaway ad, but there's nothing "on the home page of our website and below", nowhere to enter my name and email address 🙁 Help, please. Thank you.
Mikey says
There should be a pop up module. There is no link for me to give you but it should appear here on the article and on the home page midway down. It might be finnicky today but it should be there.
June Bonfield says
I cannot find how to sign in for the give away...I have tried everything....and have been on everything.
Mikey says
Did you see the sign up on this page? There is a module and also on the home page of the website.
