A new video stitch-along, with an early pattern release, is called Granny Goes Random Crochet Blanket. Yes, you can work on this anytime, and no sign-up is required, but the videos will be released as a stitch-along over the Christmas break in 2024.

What excites me the most is that you only use two colour balls. One is Sunset Beach (3 balls needed), and the other is Moonbeam (2 balls required). Yes, all of those colours are in just those two colorway balls. This yarn is called Red Heart Bitty Stripes.

I love this pattern and made a full sized one. I am now working on using this pattern to make a baby/toddler sized blanket. I just did the granny squares with 4 rounds. Since they are 9 rounds in the bigger size, should I do 5 rounds for each one instead? Thanks for any help you can provide.

I would make a sample size square that you want to try and then do the math to see how many squares you will need to do that. It's a great idea.

I loved waiting for the yarn to change and noticing how similar some blocks were. Generally I won't use a pattern involving cutting the yarn every row, but I was hooked by the look. Actually this time all the tails didn't bother me at all. The afghan even got great compliments from my husband!
