The Crochet Crowd + Jimmy Beans Wool Retreat in 2023 asked attendees to crochet squares using a variety of patterns provided. Throughout the retreat, you could see crocheters making squares, and by the end, we had made a handful of squares. Digital raffle tickets are now available until the end of October 2024 to help this organization and award this to a lucky winner.
The retreaters were promised that the squares would be assembled into a blanket, but Jimmy Beans Wool's generosity in providing extra yarn and the retreaters' efforts made enough to make two blankets.
Jimmy Beans Wool asked me who I would like to support if we did this concept. The answer is immediate and obvious to me. Let's take care of women dealing with breast or gynecological cancer. It seems that most of us know women coping with this.
Jimmy Beans Wool chose Pinocchio's Moms On the Run organization. There mission is simple but effective:
Locals helping locals since 1999, Pinocchio's Moms on the Run provides support for everyday living expenses, including (but not limited to) mortgages, rent, food, utilities, car expenses, insurance, and more, to help offset medical costs and alleviate the financial stress of Northern Nevada women diagnosed with breast or gynecological cancer.

Just message Jimmy Beans Wool to inquire about that. I don't know how they would go about doing that but it's not a bad idea.
