Before Sending Us An Email
If you are inquiring about a pattern that is not one of Mikey's or Jeanne's original patterns, you need to contact the source where you got the pattern for help.
If your pattern is from other sites like Ravelry, Etsy or other places where the designer is uploading their patterns, don't hesitate to contact them directly about their designs, as they know them better than anyone.
We Do Not Offer Pattern Searching
Effective August 20th, 2014, we no longer offer pattern searching. We have a well-established crochet community on various social media platforms. Many times, community members step in to find resources.

Email Processing
Emails are responded to in the order in which they are received. Mikey is typically backlogged; you should expect delays. Michael is the only person that gets this email.
Personal Response Not Guaranteed
We receive a tremendous amount of emails and messaging through social platforms. We do not guarantee that every email will get a response. It's not personal; we are overwhelmed.

Hi Mikey. I have a question on how to find the multiple of a pattern that has this written for the multiples "Row repeat of 14 + 5 rows". What does that mean? How do I find the multiples? I love your site because it is very helpful and you have a great way of explaining patterns. You do a great way of breaking it down when the written pattern makes no sense right away. Keep it up.
Mikey says
I don't understand what that multiple is Repeat 14 + 5 rows. I have never seen that before. I really have no idea. Maybe you can contact the designer to inquire. It seems like it's non-standard lingo.

I love your tutorial on granny rectangular blankets. However, it contains instructions only for a certain number of sizes. I want to make a size not listed: 6ftx3ft. Can someone advise how to do that?
More generally, is the a "formula" that you can plug your dimensions into, so you can compute how to do sizes not in the list of standard bed sizes?
Thank you!
Mikey says
That's a great question. I don't have a formula but sure wish I had. I tried doing this once and people don't honour the stitching gauge and so what I promise isn't achieved as people tend to get different sizes by not using the same hook or suggested level of yarn. I have since deleted what I had.

Could I link 2 of your YouTube videos to a pattern I’m creating? One for a foundation DC and one for a crab stitch. I figured I would mention something along the lines of “videos courtesy of the Crochet Crowd” or something similar. I just thought it would be helpful to link a video of the lesser known stitches and I find your videos REALLY helpful.
Mikey says
Yes, an embedded link is fine. Thank you for asking first.
