Yarnspirations announces the arrival of Bernat Maker yarn. If you think you recognize this yarn, you have a good eye; this was called Bernat Maker Home Dec in the past.
This yarn is like a knit i-cord made of 72% cotton and 28% nylon. It's a heavy material that is considered in the bulky #5. Great for home decor, throw blankets and general crafting.
This was one of my favourite yarns from the past. I believe it's one of the best yarns to teach people to crochet or knit with. It's because the cording of the yarn cannot split, and it is easy to undo the yarn if mistakes are made.
You will be able to find this at Joann Fabrics and Crafts in the future.

Use the suggested 8 mm / L/11 crochet hook and begin your journey into the yarn arts.
This yarn made a comeback as many of us used this yarn beyond home decoration, and it was very versatile. For those in warmer climates, the cotton is better suited than acrylic based yarns.
The revival of this yarn brings in new colours that are spectacular together. I recently finished a round 56" diameter throw for the Journey Members on YouTube. You can see more details about that here:
The new colours are not as muted and really work well together. The project will have a beautiful stretch to it as well. We have a slew of patterns and tutorials from the past that still live and active on our network.
