Crochet Flower Luggage Tag
Crochet a luggage tag to quickly identify your luggage or special bag from a distance. The yarn is cotton so it's strong and durable. This is the Crochet Flower Luggage Tag pattern.
Designed by Jeanne Steinhilber
I made this in prep for the upcoming Crochet Cruise.
Materials
- Small amounts of cotton yarn - I used Lily Sugar 'n Cream in Hot Pink, Sunshine & Hot Green
- Hook size 5.0mm H
- Yarn needle
- Stuffing or yarn scraps
Flower Center - Make 2
Round 1 - Start with Magic Circle, ch 1, 6 sc into ring. Slst to first sc.
Round 2 - Ch 1, 2 sc in each stitch around. Slst to first sc. (12sc)
When you finish the second center, leave an extra long tail. Hold the 2 centers with the wrong sides together and whip stitch through the 2 back loops. Stuff the center before you close. I just used some of the pink yarn scraps.
Flower Petals
*For the petals, you will work all the stitches into the front loop of both of the front and the back of the flower center.
1st Petal - Row 1 - Attach yarn with a sc, sc again in same stitch, 2 sc in next stitch. Turn.
Row 2 - Ch 1, sc in each stitch. Turn. (4sc)
Row 3 - Repeat row 2.
Row 4 - Ch 1, sc2tog, twice. Turn. (2sc)
Row 5 - Ch 1, sc2tog. Finish off. (1sc)
2nd Petal - Start in next free loop of center and repeat first petal. Continue making petals until you have 6. Weave in all ends.
Hanger
Attach yarn with a slst on the back side of the center near the top. Chain 25, slst to the same spot you attached. Finish off.
Dangling Leaves
Attach yarn with a slst on the back side of the center near the bottom. Chain 15, sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in same ch, 2 sc each ch until you get back to the center. Slst to attach. Chain 20 and repeat dangle with 2 sc in each chain. Slst to attach and finish off.
