Why buy a baby shower gift when you can crochet something special and unique?  I made this Crochet Criss Cross Chevron Baby Blanket for a co-worker who is soon to have a baby girl.  I was so attracted to the soft-look of Caron Jumbo Rosewood, then highlighted it with 2 neutral shades.

The pattern should have said for 147 stitches crochet at the end do 8 more then do your three double crochet the video clarified this but wouldn’t have been needed if written correctly.

I have a question about the instructions on row 2. Shouldn't the dc3tog be on top of each other? Also the 3dc in the same stitch. Mine is buckling with the two on top of each other. I just want to make sure it comes out right. Love the pattern!! Thank you in advance!

      Hi Wendy,
In the chevron patterns each row is a bit "off" from the one below it b/c you add extra stitches with the 3tog's. It may drive you a bit crazy(it does me:)), but it is ok. As for your dc3tog, you may be crocheting them a little too tight or too loose. Try playing with your tension when you dc3tog and see if that helps. I had to loosen my stitches up b/c I crochet a bit tight. Hope this helps. Good luck!!

Is there a way to post pictures? I am making this with Rose instead of lace and Bernat Natural instead of Caron Off White and is coming out gorgeous! I love this pattern.

I have a question about row 2. I hope you'll still see this and have an answer for me. At the end of the row, I have only 3 criss crosses and 2 stitches left. Do I do another cross cross and then place 2 more double crochets on the last stitch or skip a stitch and do 3 DCs on the last stitch? Or something else. I have counted my stitches and ripped out and re- done this several times and I always end up at this ending so I'm relatively sure I've crocheted it correctly.

Hoping for a quick answer. Thank you so much for all you do!
