Mikey was thinking about his charity box and trying to use up time in front of the TV in between doing more significant pattern designs. He grabbed his Red Heart Super Saver Ombre in the colour called Green Apple and went to town to make something for the box.
This is called the Crochet Green Apple Transition Scarf pattern.
Red Heart Super Saver Ombre, 283 g/10 oz, 440 meters/482 yards
Green Apple - 1 Ball
Red Heart Super Saver, 198 g/7 oz, 333 meters/364 yards
White - Just enough to make fringe.
Hook: 5 mm / US H/8
Measurements Approx 5.5” X 74” (unstretched)
You will have more yarn left over to make it longer.
Gauge 5 mm / H/8 15 sc and 15 rows = 4” [10 cm]

Instructions
Width may be changed by using an odd number in the starting chain.
Ch 27.
1st row: (RS). 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook. *Ch 1, sk next ch, 1 sc in next. Rep from * across. 1 sc in last ch. Turn.
2nd row: Ch 1. 1 sc in first st. *Ch 1, sk next sc, 1 sc in next ch-1 sp. Rep from * across. 1 sc in last sc. Turn.
Rep 2nd row until the scarf measures 74” long.
Fringe
Cut yarn into 48 - 12" (30.5 cm) lengths. Hold 3 strands of yarn together and fold in half, forming a loop at one end. *Insert crochet hook into corner of one short edge of scarf and place loop on hook. Draw loop through, insert ends through loop and pull to tighten; repeat from * to attach a total of 8 fringes evenly across edge.
Repeat for other short edge of scarf. Trim fringe evenly.
