Crochet this simple Crochet Glacier Cowl to wear on an excursion to the top of a glacier or better yet, around your own community to keep warm this winter. This pattern uses only one Caron Cakes. I made mine with the color Cake Pop. The colours really did resemble the stunning beauty of the magnificent glacier. The ribbed texture makes this cowl easy to wear as a long version or double up around your neck to keep you warm and cozy.
To change the size of my cowl. Chain in multiples of 4.

I'm in love with this yarn. Will there be a video on this pattern?
Jeanne - The Crochet Crowd says
Not on the pattern specifically, but the video that is on the page shows how to the the FPdc and BPdc, which is all this pattern consists of to make.

In Step 2, what do you mean by "FPdc immediately BELOW the slip stitch around the post of the previous round"? Just confused regarding what you mean by "below" the sc. I am stuck with an open area at the bottom of the double crochet ring, if that makes any sense at all! (I think I need to get a crochet tutor lol)
Laura Jean Bartholomew says
FPdc directly in the dc of the previous round. Take a darning needle or your hook and attach the bottom so you don't have an open area but a complete circle.
Jeff says
What exactly an I using to close the gap? I see the fpdc in that first post, but I don't see how doing that attaches the bottom half of that DC foundation.
Jeanne - The Crochet Crowd says
I just take the beginning tail and weave in the end back and forth between the gap to tighten it up and weave in the end at the same time.

I bought the Cake yarn when it first came out. I've made hats for babie and one adult. Washed them in hair conditioner n it's even softer??. I'm so glad for this pattern. I'm hooking it now and the pattern n yarn are a perfect match. Thank you guys?
