I've been seeing a demand for Yarnspirations to not forget about the #3 Lighweight Yarns. I don't have input on the yarn that comes in, but I know this will be a warm welcome for those looking for an addictive, long ombre striping type of yarn.
I made a baby dress in Baby Marble DK by James C Brett over 10 years ago, and this yarn reminds me of that. James C Brett had smaller balls, at 293 yards. The new Bernat Sport Ombre Twist yarn is 280g / 9.9 oz, 924 meters / 1011 yards, almost three times the size of the ball.
In yarn terminology, sport is slightly thicker than fingering weight. It's suitable for baby items, delicates, wearables, and home decor. The colouring of yarn is what keeps me mentally interested in a pattern as I crochet.
