Bernat Macrame Cord
Bernat Macrame Cord

Bernat Macrame Cording has just been released in June 2021. 10 new patterns with 12 beginner tutorials. Macrame is trending.

This cord is the real deal. This isn't yarn pretending to be macrame cording but is actual cording itself.

In farmer's markets, we are seeing more younger people being creative with macrame. Here in Nova Scotia, with people making art with netting and trending home decor, macrame doesn't need to be complex to be awesome.

Yes, we will have some mind-blowing patterns below that may have you say, UMM no! But there are options so you can go from beginner to intermediate levels with patience. It's nice to have options. The patterns include diagrams of cord wrapping that are really clean and crisp.

Despite my oozy sarcasm in the descriptions, I really do like macrame but it does scare me a bit because it's something I don't do often. Need to practice. Daniel loves macrame.

Technical Details

It's 8.8 oz / 250 g and 44 yards/ 40 metres. It's level #6 super bulky in sizing. Suggested knitting needles are US 13 / 9 mm or using crochet hook of N/P/15 / 10 mm. Made of mixed fibres and recycled cotton with polyester, viscose and acrylic.

When you feel the ball, it feels really solid and got weight to it. It's truly a cord. Love it.

Couldn't you just wrang out when someone moves your keys or worse another person in the house leaves the keys in their pocket. Your tea is getting cold and you cannot drive the car! Ummm did I say that out loud?

This one says easy but why do I feel like it's a choice of the red or blue pill? Which colour is for the rabbit hole? This is the Macrame Fringe Bowl.

Darnit, now I am curious about how this is done! I hope there's a tutorial on this one! I am dying to see how this is done! I know I am a host but trust me, I can barely walk and chew gum at the same time.

  • Having a wrang may be the best option for when the keys go missing. I am dying to see anyone that completes this.

I like trying something new as it inspires me to be creative beyond a hook. Sometimes I need a break.
