Inspired by Christie's packaging of Chips Ahoy Cookies and with the help of Yarnspirations to colour match a Christmas Vibe, this is the Summer Stitch Along for 2024 called the Study of Christmas Cookies Throw.

The complete pattern is now available without signing up.

Tips for Counting Stitches Provided In the Pattern

The big points are the ch-1 one spaces. The counts per stitches are between the two points. This doesn't include the ch-1 sps at the top of the repeating but does include the ch-1 in the smaller points.

For example, in rnd 47, as shown below, there are 19 stitches between the orange spots. That's how you count it.

The packaging of Chips Ahoy features stunning red paired with blue and white for good measure. Of course, the cookies added the other colours, and we added a few more to balance it.

The colours pay with each other in a way that makes things pop out. I felt like I was decorating cookies with some pipework while crocheting this.

As the throw gets bigger, more colours appear, such as the two tinges of green to bring in the evergreen freshness.

The throw will start off as round and then transition to a star... then transition back to a circle by the end. It will sit flat for you, even before blocking.

We will have the colour breakdown closer to the stitch-along dates for you. Stay tuned for more information at the end of June.

Using 5.5 mm / I/9 Hook.

This is a project meant to decorate during festive times. Of course, you can colour it however you wish, but I thought this was an excellent combination of yarn to play with.

Stay tuned this summer with our friends at Yarnspirations. The pattern, along with matching tutorials and crochet diagrams, will be delivered over four weeks.

Hi Michael, working on the christmas blanket and on round 11 video does not match up the the
written directions. Am I missing a revised pattern that I can't find?

Please follow the written instruction. It's possible that i screwed it up. The pattern is usually correct if my mouth doesn't match up. Unless I am giving a cheating tip.

Hello Michael, the written pattern calls for a size H hook but the other videos where you talk about the pattern calls for an I hook. Which one is best?

    Blessings

I would do an I hook. 5.5 mm. It will be slightly bigger. Thanks for asking.
