Locals have been telling me about Rewards for years. I've lived here since 2018, and I haven't been to Rewards yet. It's a store of home decor, toys, and other things that I struggle to describe. My local group told me recently, "You should have listened to us sooner!" Well, they are right, but don't tell them.
It's not a discount store, as per say, and the yarn aisle is something that landed from outer space. It's massive! Its exclusively Spinrite yarns aka Yarnspirations but without Red Heart. So it has Bernat, Patons, Lily Sugar'n Cream, Phentex and Caron yarns on hand. Not just a few colours, but most of the colours in a yarn line. Usually with the big box retailer, they select a handful of colours and the others you can only buy online.
PS. Locals have told me that not all Rewards Stores are equal. The layouts, selections, and look of the store vary in each location. I've only been to the Greenwood Mall location at this time.
With Michaels Canada leaning more toward the private label, Rewards is carrying some yarns that can only be found on the shelf in the USA, such as Bernat Symphony yarn. I thought this brand was discontinued years ago, but I found out in March when I visited Yarnspirations corporate that it's still out there.
So, my delight, it's on the shelves of Rewards, including so many brands you think are discontinued but are not.
For me, I usually order my yarn online now as I cannot find a lot of it locally but knowing that Rewards is carrying all of my favourite brands with the endless sea of colours, I know I have a relatively local store near me. There's another Rewards even closer to me than Greenwood Mall.
My friend Sherri, who makes felted creatures and decor under the business Critter Addiction, was at Greenwood Mall, which brought me to the mall for the first time.
The aisle is just waiting for ideas to spin a good yarn tale.
The associates were great during the little contact I had, and the store was clean and organized. However, it's missing an element that we are used to: unorganized, misplaced balls, and more. It's wonderful. You can concentrate without looking at balls that aren't in the right spot.
Now that I know it's there, I can see myself going over and over and over. Michaels is just a few minutes from me, but sometimes I need an instant video on a product I don't have. Knowing Rewards is there is a game changer for me.
Rewards is a very small chain of stores and yes, the choice outweighs the coupon for me. I want colours, choice and availability. It's got everything I need as a yarn lover. Support local when you can... if you don't... you may miss what you take for granted.

Can we order on line? I live in the US

This store doesn't sell online. You are best for Yarnspirations.com for that.

Rewards is such a great store! It’s perfect for me (yarn!) and has a phenomenal selection of plastic models(vehicles and airplanes) for my hubby 😁 So lucky to have it in my neighbourhood!
