Tidal Wave Treasure Scarf
These instructions are really simple as this is the combination of only two yarn balls. Approximate cost of this scarf is about $15. The yarn is self striping itself and transitioning on its own. Do not change the directions as the vertical direction that you will feed onto the machine must be the Red Heart Eclipse due to strength and durability. The Treasure will not work in the vertical direction as the yarn can unply/untwist itself and break.
This can be completed on a 10″ or 15″ table top Weaving Loom by Schacht. The scarf is 9″ wide by 63″ long without the tassels.
1 – Ball of Red Heart Boutique Eclispe. Color is called Tidal Wave
1 – Ball of Red Heart Boutique Treasure. Color is called Mosaic
- Feed Machine (Warp) with the entire ball of Red Heart Eclipse. This yarn is used going in the vertical direction and expands the entire length of the scarf. Warp Length is 90″ from warping peg to the back apron.
- Using Red Heart Treasure, weave back and forth for the entire length. You will not use the entire ball, in fact, the picture below is showing you how much was left over of the treasure for this scarf.
- Remove from loom and tie groups of vertical strings together in an overhand tie knot.
I am not affiliated to Schacht nor is this a paid sponsors. I simply like using this machine and sharing some patterns that I have made on this machine.
