Let me check tomorrow. I have replaced the video with the same stitch but I need to double check my instructions to ensure it matches. The original for these were filmed in 2008.
Thanks. I'm pretty new at estimating, but one thing I've noticed when I look at yarns is that the length in a ball or skein varies widely! I just finished a shawl that used about 2000 meters. I have instructions for a different shawl that takes about 400 meters.
I'll figure it out somehow...

Understood... Only way to really know is to attempt to have a solid answer. It's why I don't have a fully good answer for you. I'm sorry.

Well the videos are no longer available and I wanted to see how to do the 3 color. Any advise?

What I'd love is some way to estimate yarn requirements. Give me any size, and I can shrink or expand -- but I need a starting point!

I think about 6 balls for a throw size. I did this back in 2008. I think it was 2 of each of the three colours. That's my guess.
