Double Crochet Borders
Adding a crochet border using the double crochet is really easy as it doesn't rely on any stitch multiples to make it work.
The only area you have to concern yourself within the corners. Once you do the first revolution around, the rest of the border is set and ready for you to do as many rounds as your heart desires.

The Solarium Throw as seen in the thumbnail has two rounds of double crochet around the granny square afghan. That's just a suggestion as per the design. If you want more, there's nothing to stop you. Just keep going.

I’m a beginning crocheter. I’ve recently completed a knitted blanket and want to do a double crochet border. I have seen your video and whilst I think the technique is wonderful I am struggling to follow it as it is way too fast. I have tried to pause it and crochet at the same time but can’t keep up. Could I suggest that you slow down your tutorials as I’m sure many would benefit from them if they were slower for beginners. Thank you.

I'm really sorry. I am either too fast and too slow. I cannot find the right balance. There is a speed play option on Youtube where you can slow me down.

Thank you for sharing your talent! Would you mind sharing the colors you used for each part of the Afghan please? My daughter has her house decorated in sunflowers & I would absolutely love to make her this as a birthday present.

I saw your questions listed online, and couldn't find any other way to contact you. I would like to answer them if I could. The first question was how much is the most you've ever been paid for a specific project. I made $250 from selling a doll with a handmade dress. I've made more, but the projects required far more work. Your second question was if I had any tips to give. The only tip I would suggest, is make your crafts unique. Anybody can make a blanket, but not everyone can make a blanket that has the unique features that you come up with. Maybe you make a blanket with pockets, buttons, heads, or something very unique it's only your own. People will pay more if it's worth more.
