Crochet Super Bulky Easy Going Blanket
Big and beautiful is in and so is this Crochet Easy Going Blanket.
This blanket uses 12 balls of Bernat Mega Bulky Yarn. Using a size 19 mm or S Hook, this blanket packs a punch! Super chunky is definitely in style but it's not always easy on the pocketbook because people want chunky but don't think about the cost of the fibres it takes to make incredibly chunky yarn. Bernat being an everyday yarn, it's value-priced compared to other major chunky brands that may be out there. So it's all relative right?
To make this in equivalent using 4 ply worsted yarn, you would like to need 8 strands of yarn working together. So you can see, cost-wise, it may be about the same.
Once you get this pattern started, there is a repeat of 4 rows until you get to the desired length. The blanket is 48" x 56". It's definitely a show blanket and you can use it too for those cold winter nights where being inside is definitely the right place to be.

Very eye opening on how many strands of 4-ply you would need to achieve bulky yarn results
