New from Yarnspirations is the Feel Your Emotions Crochet Blanket, customized to your moods. This great beginner-level pattern uses 7 colours to depict your emotional well-being over 30 days.

I know how it can feel when your negative emotions and trigger points seem to be the main focus point of your life. Like writing a gratitude journey, sometimes your life may not be as bad as you feel. Trust me, I know how to circle the drain quickly and have to compartmentalize myself to protect myself from self-harm.

The primary colour of Bernat Blanket Vintage is White to separate the emotions from each other. The feelings are based on the animated movie called Inside Out 2.

You have a total of 6 possible emotions to use, but don't be afraid to add or change an emotion.

  • Contrast A Pixie Pink = Embarrassment
  • Contrast B Carrot Orange = Anxiety
  • Contrast C Bright Lime = Disgust
  • Contrast D School Bus Yellow = Joy
  • Contrast E Baby Teal = Envy
  • Contrast F Baby Lilac = Ennui/Boredom

You might be able to use this blanket as a way to change things in 30 days with yourself. Maybe trying to try to find more joy. Maybe instead of envy, you may feel sad. Maybe for boredom, you replace it with accomplishment. You dictate your own story.

My personal view is that I cannot change the past, and the future is yet to be written. I moved to Nova Scotia because I needed a new story to tell and wanted a new future for myself. It was a big move, and boy, oh boy, it was the best thing I could have done for myself.

This is a perfect idea, to not only gauge your mood, but to achieve an Afghan too. Thank you again for another superb pattern. I'm going to use this pattern next. I'm finishing off another Afghan, using the waffle stitch.
