Entrelac Afghan + Video Tutorial

Entrelac Crochet is the art of creating gorgeous afghans that have boxed shapes that grow with each other. The concept is really easy once you understand the concept and stitch counts.

I've filmed a video showing the step by step process of creating an Entrelac Crochet Afghan. In the original pattern, you will see the edges are in points. In the last bit of my video tutorial, I show you how to make the edges straight as it's more desirable amongst crocheters.

You may become addicted to this concept... I know I am 'hooked'!

Download the PDF Pattern to Follow. The pattern is using Caron Cakes but the method is still the same.

This is my first attempt at the entrelac pattern. It looks so complicated and reading the instructions was a bit confusing, however after watching this video, I was amazed how easy it really is. Thank you for the amazing video. I used a chain 12 starting chain and 11 rows for the first block and from there I just followed your instructions to start making my project larger. Thanks again, Mikey.

I would like to do larger squares and use variegated yarn like the James C Brett in your picture. How do I determine the number of chains for a rectangular blanket? How many chains do I work with per block? Thank you.

    Mikey,
Is there a print tutorial for the crochet entrelac? I learn better from printable sources than video
