Festive Scalloped Scarf
A friend asked me to crochet a bright red scarf for her mom and this is what I came up with, so I'd thought I share it with you. It's pretty easy and could be made from any worsted weight yarn. This is the Festive Scalloped Scarf pattern.
Festive Scalloped Scarf
by Jeanne Steinhilber
- Bernat Super Value Cherry or any worsted weight yarn
- Hook size 5.0mm H
- Yarn needle
Round 1 - Ch 161, dc in 4th ch from hook. Dc across to last ch, ch 3 and slst to the ch. At this point you are going to continue working into the chains again, but on the other side, so ch 3 for the first dc and work dc across to the first ch 3 turning ch, ch 3 and slst to the base of that ch 3. Do not turn.
So what you have at this point is 2 rows of dc all facing you on the right side.
Round 2 - Ch 4, dc into ch 3 space, then dc, ch 1, dc (v-st) into the same ch 3 space. *v-st in the next dc, sk 1, repeat to next corner ch 3 space. V-st in ch 3 space, then dc in space, ch 1, dc in between the 2 ch 3 spaces, ch 1, dc in next ch 3 space, then v-st in same ch 3 space. Continue on the side again from the * to the last corner ch 3, v-st in ch 3, dc in same ch 3 space, ch 1 and join to 3rd ch with slst.
Round 3 - Ch 3, 6 dc's into the same stitch, *sc in next ch 1 sp, 7 dc in next ch 1 space, repeat from * to other end of scarf, 7 dc in the middle dc of the end of the scarf, continue again from the * to the end, slst to the beginning ch 3. Finish off.
