NEW Corner to Corner C2C Crochet Brush Stitch

Sharing is caring!

Mikey developed a stitch combination called the Brush Stitch. Crochet diagonally with lines going in the opposite direction.

The stitch is similar to the corner-to-corner with different anchoring points. The stitching causes space to appear, and the space is going in the opposite direction, which looks like eyelets. Very easy to understand once you get your mind wrapped around it.

The stitching looks like paint strokes and is reversible, so both sides look the same. The yarn shown in the thumbnail is Caron Big Donut in the colour called Spiced Ginger.

Crochet Diagram

The Crochet Diagram below shows you the stitch concept on where the stitches are going. The edge boxes of the corner-to-corner remain the same as the original, but everything inside is the brush stitch.

There will be a matching tutorial for the brush stitch and just the diagram provided as the repeating is pretty easy. If you are not strong in diagram reading and want to open up the world of crochet where English isn't the first language of a designer, but they have done a crochet diagram, I can teach you in the tutorial below.

Tutorial

Do you want to see another alternative corner-to-corner concept? This is the 6 dc Cluster Corner to Corner that I developed as well. It is showing up in our Inspired by Friendship Blanket, and we have a tutorial for it as well.

For this pattern, the available video tutorial and diagram are all we have. Embedded in the article is a tutorial for reading diagrams.

Diagrams are an amazing resource for patterns and learning to use them will open up the stitching world.
