The Crochet Super Star Baby Blanket is one of the first patterns Mikey wrote after deciding to crochet full-time. It was one of his first blankets that went beyond granny squares.

Crochet a unique baby blanket in the shape of a star. Star blankets make great gifts at the baby shower and are easily foldable around a baby.

by Mikey, © 2009 The Crochet Crowd. This is one of the very first patterns Mikey wrote. Pattern updated to today's terms in 2024.

The white colour goes in every 4th round. The video tutorial shows you where to stick the hook after the point. New crocheters tend to miss the first stitch, causing the points to bend off to the side.

Materials List

  • Bernat Super Value Yarn, 1 Ball Blue, 1 Ball White.
  • 5.5 mm / I/9 Hook.

New Updated Version 2024

  • 1 Ball of Caron One Pound, Off White
  • 1 Ball of Caron One Pound, Sky Blue
  • You have lots of yarn left over to make it bigger.

The diagram chains and the start chains on each row after the first are different.

It's says chain one at begining of row and then end row to go into 3rd chain but where would this be.

Pattern diagram shows chains of 1 2 3 4 and so on.

It's 9 pm now and I am just fixing the pattern to correct what you saw. Thanks for the opportunity to fix. I have disconnected the video from this pattern as it's done differently. Someone on YouTube said the same this morning and I disconnected it there this morning as well.
