Crochet Center Burst Afghan
Introducing my first afghan design using Bernat Velvet yarn. I know, this yarn just came out but I got my testing yarn back a couple of months ago to test try it. No better way to try it than to create a pattern with this yarn. Introducing the Crochet Center Burst Afghan.
Inspired by circular mandalas and overlays. I created this design to satisfy the desire of having colour play with bursting colour opportunities from the center of each square.
The blanket is 3 x 4 squares. It measures 44" x 62". You will need to buy more yarn if you wish to make it bigger. The pattern shows you the details.
The tutorial below will take you through the process of making the square. The border is just to 2 easy rounds.
Tutorial
The afghan's final border is the 1 round of the Extended Picot. You can see how that is done at the end of this video below.
