Dove Tail Stitch
This is a really neat Dove Tail Stitch that has three dimensions to the appearance. The fans appear to have different depths making it really neat. Best of all, it's really not a complicated stitch once you master the repeat pattern.
This stitch can be found on a baby sampler afghan that is free for all to use. Get the free pattern for the entire afghan, Baby Sampler Squares Afghan.
For those who love this idea for a stitch, there is a proper multiple count to keep on the first chain should you want to do something bigger than the square in the original pattern. See details below.
To Make Different Sizes
Multiple of 8 sts + 4.
Remember the + number at the end of the sentence means that you are to add chains at the very end to maintain the pattern as written.

You can use the recommended pattern as your guide and just use your own multiples if you would like to do something more with this stitch.
